Probably a great number of factors left out of this, but what the heck.

I've seen this debunked ... somewhere. I need DevonThink for my actual brain.

I also read a debunking attempt. Not sure if this data is valid ... but not sure it's not.

This confirms something I suspected...once smart people make enough money, they move to Hawaii.

Can something be true without being valid?

Don't freak my mind drlizardo! I like to think of the 'true' as the combined sets of what we understand and do not yet understand. I like to think of 'valid' as a social construct. However, I think we can swap both definitions. In Delaney's book 'Dhalgren' there is, I think, a quote like: "You have confused the true and the real."

And let's not forget Bill Clinton's explanation of W's actions in Iraq: "It's more important to be strong than to be right."

I'm not sure if that's accurate, but having lived in half a dozen "red states," I can at least provide anecdotal evidence to the fact that the IQ level "seems" lower. This is supported by the fact that whenever I watch the news, I'm always muttering, "what the hell???"
