Nasty Chocolate

My advice for the day:

Don't eat cheap, nasty chocolate.  It will just make you desire real, lovely, buttery chocolate, which you will then have to get.
Then you've eaten twice the refined sugar and stuff, for only one dose of chocolatey deliciousness.

So go for the good stuff the first time.

Lol! Always go for the good stuff! Especially chocolate and books. Oh, and men.

I thought you didn't much like chocolate anyway.

I usually have a little bite of Newman's dark chocolate/orange every day. Num.

Hmmm...yes, it's probably a statement that should cover a lot of things in life.

It's not that I don't like chocolate. It's that I haven't had that constant "oh, I must have chocolate" craving thing that is the common stereotype about women. I have liked chocolate and would generally eat it if in front of me. But it was easy to forget to want it, and I was okay with putting down the chocolate. (Although Green & Black's Dark Milk did trigger that a bit).

But after giving birth, I did develop that "any chocolate in a storm" feeling, and it's lasted a good long while. I think it's just beginning to fade lately.

I don't know if it's hormonal per se, or just craving stimulants because this has all been so exhausting.

TheLimey also points out that every coping mechanism besides eating has been disabled: exercise, socializing, hobbies, getting out of the house, even sleeping--just when we're under the most stress. It's easier for both of us to understand stress eating these days.
