I Recommend a Yourface-Off

After seeing Liddy's post about this peculiar genre of music and hearing a new example, I think it is the duty of the various musicians I know to add to it. Although I don't know that one could successfully top that example.

Musicians attempting this genre may be tempted to think there's nothing to it, that it's easy to reach the soul of "Your face is the only thing I see." But they should keep in mind that I WEEP when I listen to Scotty's version. That's the level they have to reach for. But I'd really like to see some new approaches to this important and vibrant, though historically overlooked, genre.

also, I have put the material from both your links above in the same post. Just the first link will get you to both now.

I think I was weeping. Maybe it was laughter; I don't know for sure. It's a fine line.

Dang--now I have to figure out this Audioblogger business.

Still, it shouldn't be too hard.

Dang non-biters. Including myself.

(But I've been desperately working on my data and writing our birth plan and so forth--that is, when I haven't been completely and unexpectedly zonked out in the middle of the day for several hours.)
